September at Luminary: two awards and a new face in clinic
September has been a big month at Luminary, and most of it happened in the space of a week. Here's the round-up.
Two awards in one month
Luminary Melbourne has been named Best Beauty Services twice this month.
The first was at the South East Melboirne Local Business Awards, and it meant a lot to us. It came from our own community, the people who have trusted us with their skin and watched Luminary grow over the years.
A week later, Nicolette and Luke headed to Sydney where we won the same category at the Women's Small Business Champion Awards. Nicolette was also a finalist in the Small Business Champion Woman Entrepreneur category.
What an award means for you
A trophy looks lovely on reception. What matters more is what it takes to win one.
All of the awards we’ve taken home in 2026 have been judged by experts in their fields. They looked at the way we run this clinic, including our results, our team, our culture and the experience you have from the moment you book. These are the things you can't see from the street: the training behind every treatment, the time we protect in every appointment and how much every member of this team care about what they do and the results they achieve for our clients.
When people who know this industry look at all of that and say it stands up, it tells you something about the care you'll get when you walk through our door. It's also why these awards belong to our clients as much as our team. You're the reason there's anything to judge.

Welcome, Saskia
Saskia Kennedy has officially joined Luminary as our Senior Dermal Therapist. We'll be honest: finding her took about six months, and it was worth every second.
Saskia brings more than six years in skin and a real love of advanced treatments. She also shares the belief behind everything we do here, which is that every client deserves a plan built around their own skin.

A quick update from Sara
Our beloved Sara has torn some ligaments in her hand, so she's off the tools for about six weeks while it heals. It turns out a head massage is surprisingly hard to do one-handed, although we suspect she's tried. She isn't going anywhere, though. You'll find her on reception, and the whole team is looking after her clients in the meantime.
